Patrick Lee Murphy, a resident of Dudley and formerly of Poplar Bluff, was born April 25, 1947, at Romeo, Mich., and died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at his residence.

On May 18, 1985, he was united in marriage to Charlotte McGhee.

He had been a registered nurse working at John J. Pershing V.A.M.C. in Poplar Bluff for 25 years and retired in 1998.

Survivors include his son, Shawn Murphy of Springfield; one daughter, Colleen Kane of Springfield; one brother, William "Bill" Murphy of Wasillo, Alaska; four sisters, Cynthis Parrett of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Diane Walker of Spotsylvania, Va., Charlotte Grobbel of Renee, Mich., and Veronica Bererlin, of Renee, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Charles Witmer officiatng.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
