James Henry Pruett

James Henry Pruett, son of the late Elvis and Ather Henson Pruett, was born in Bloomfield on Feb. 22, 1944, and died at his residence in Dexter on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the age of 61.

Mr. Pruett retired in 2003 after 27 years of service with ArvinMeritor in Dexter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Viet Nam, a member of the Ken Sisler D.A.V. Chapter #47, and a lifelong member of the N.R.A.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law Delbert and Judy Pruett of Dexter; a nephew, Greg Pruett of Lafayette, La.; special friends, Jerry and Jan Davis of Dexter and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Robinson of Lilbourn.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Gary Gelsinger officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military rites given by the Stoddard County Honor Guard.
