Mary Bridges, daughter of the late Frank Carter and Alpha Mooring Carter Dowdy, was born on Nov. 7, 1938, at Bernie and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at the age of 67.

Mrs. Bridges was a member of the First Baptist Church at Malden, a homemaker and resident of Bernie.

Survivors include two sons, Brad Bridges of Bernie and Joey Bridges of Batesville, Miss.; one daughter, Tami Yarbrough of Dexter; one sister, Sharon Passley of Bernie; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Collins.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at the Bernie Cemetery with Rev. Cletus Patterson officiating.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie is in charge of arrangements.
