Vicki Jo Williamson Tucker, the daughter of Wilma Ruth Dunn Williamson and the late Billy Marion Williamson, was born in Cape Girardeau on June 18, 1951, and died in Castalian Springs, Tenn., on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at the age of 54.

She was raised in Essex and was a member of the Essex Assembly of God Church. She had moved to Cape Girardeau and spent many years there where she became an R.N. She worked at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in the labor and delivery department. She later worked at the Cape County Public Health Department as a public health and home health nurse. She moved to Indiana in 1989, where she received a bachelor degree in business and worked as case manager with an insurance company. She moved back to Missouri in 1997 to be near her family.

Surviving are one daughter, Jill Beth Tucker of Columbus, Miss.; one son, Shannon Tucker of Cape Girardeau; her mother, Wilma Ruth Williamson of Essex; one granddaughter; two brothers, Don Mark Williamson of Gonzales, La., and Billy Dean Williamson of Essex; and one sister, Sharon Lee Platipodis of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by one sister in infancy.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. David Schaffner of Cape Girardeau officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
