Barbara Payne, daughter of William Kimbrel, was born May 17, 1937, in Dexter and lived around Fisk and Dexter most of her life.

She died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at the age of 68.

She had worked at Purolator at Dexter for several years.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Lewis and Vicky Peck, both of Wappapello; one son, Ricky Peck of Poplar Bluff; one brother, William Kimbrel, Jr. of Joplin; two sisters, Willene Clark of Dexter and Shirley Statler of Festus; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Poch; and two sisters, Katy Montgomery and Francis Kimbrel.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Kent Miller and Steven Mayo officiating.

Interment will follow at Essex Cemetery.
