Birdie Mae Jones of Malden was born Sept. 4, 1920 at Malden and died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

She was the daughter of Luther Andrew Paul and Nora Humphrey Paul.

On Nov. 4, 1939, she was united in marriage to Everett Lee Jones, Sr. at Malden, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1966.

She had been a housewife and was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden.

Survivors include five daughters, Thelma Louise West of Malden, Mary Ann Viczko of Holcomb, Wanda Sue Slusser of Kennett, Linda Faye Turner of Kennett, and Debra Marlene Jones of Malden; four sons, Everett Lee "Bud" Jones, Jr., Charles Ray Jones, Harold Dean Jones, all of Malden, and Darrell Gene Jones of Bernie; three sisters, Mary Charles of Arizona, Ora Lee Benn of Mesa, Ariz., Nancy Owens of Muncie, Ind.; one brother, Virgil Paul of Indiana; 24 grandchildren; 43 great=grandchlidren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, Arthur Paul, Raymond Paul, Jewell Paul, Jesse Paul and Burley Paul; two sisters, Emma Lou McClearn and Mildred Paul.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
