Aaron McKuin, son of the late George Washington McKuin and Iva Lee Bone McKuin, was born on Nov. 13, 1923, at Formosa, Ark., and died at his residence in Bernie on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the age of 82.
Mr. McKuin was a farmer, a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and a resident of Bernie.
He was united in marriage to Rosalee Collins on March 9, 1946, at Piggott, Ark. Mrs. McKuin preceded him in death on June 26, 2005.
Survivors include three sons, Dicky Allen McKuin and Aaron Dewayne McKuin, both of Dexter, and Michael Thomas McKuin of Bernie; one daughter, Susan Kaye Meese of Bernie; one brother, Bob McKuin of Morrilton, Ark.; one sister, Sue Blakeney of Springfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Archie McKuin, Dick McKuin and Carl Dean McKuin; two sisters, Clyda Trafford and Erma Williams.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Stan Dauck officiating.
Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Honors India Team.
