Pauline Pfeffer

Pauline Pfeffer, daughter of the late Charles Vincent Adams and Margaret Ellen Smart Adams, was born on Aug. 30, 1919, at Batesville, Ark., and died in the Doctor's Hospital at Springfield on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at the age of 86.

Mrs. Pfeffer was a homemaker, a former resident of rural Parma and had been residing in Springfield.

She was united in marriage to Orvel E. Pfeffer on Oct. 24, 1936, at Caruthersville. Mr. Pfeffer preceded her in death on May 9, 1996.

Survivors include one son, Don Pfeffer and wife Jena of Augusta, Ark.; two daughters, Patsy Carlstrom and husband Ed of Springfield and Barbara Lane of Joplin; three grandchildren, Jim Carlstrom and wife Vickie, Ellen Carlstrom, all of Springfield, and Carrie Tranum and husband Lynn of Searcy, Ark.; three great-grandchildren, Chandler Jane Carlstrom, John Michael McNeill and Kristen Lee Tranum.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Eva Clive, Florence Kitchen, Dorothy Gibson, and Ilene Patton; and one grandchild, Rhonda Michelle Lane.

Visitation was held from 10-10:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. today in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Bill Garrett officiating.

Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery.
