Thomas W. Nieters, son of the late George Nieters and Mayme Ellison Nieters, was born on Nov. 2, 1912, at St. Louis and died in the Cypress Point Healthcare at Dexter on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the age of 93.

Mr. Nieters was a retired machinist for McDonald-Douglas at St. Louis, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Audrey Kreuper Dieckhaus on Sept. 17, 1949, at St. Louis. Mrs. Nieters preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1993.

Survivors include two grandsons, Stephen Hilke of St. Louis and Jeffrey Hilke of St. Peters, Fla.; one granddaughter, Susan Fish of Dexter; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and also by several nephews and nieces.

Mr. Nieters wishes at the time of his death to donate his body to Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
