Cleo M. Cooper, daughter of the late Albert M. Bornemann and Ada George Bornemann, was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Stoddard County and died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Lutheran Hope in Cape Girardeau.

She was retired from Inland Shoe Factory and Stoddard County Board of Elections. She was a member of the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

On Sept. 1, 1939, she was united in marriage to Floyd V. Cooper, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1990.

Survivors include one son, Edsel Cooper of Bloomfield; three daughters, Carolyn Kinder of Cape Girardeau, Charlene Viets of Henderson, Ky., and Laverta Stanford of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Cossairt of Paducah, Ky., and Loralee Eaker of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Visitation was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Gary Cooper officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Bloomfield.
