Charles E. Propst was born Nov. 16, 1939, at Advance and died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at his residence in Zalma.

He attended the Dongola Church and was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include three sons, Charles A. Propst and Daniel Propst of Zalma, and Dennis Propst of Puxico; three daughters, Kathy Miller of Dexter, Malinda Propst and Charlotte Propst of Zalma; one brother, Melvin Propst of Bloomfield; and one-half brother, Leon Fredwell of Poplar Bluff.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Community Church of Christ in Lowndes with Rev. Ronnie Winchester and Rev. Jack Rogers officiating.
