Geraldine (Gerri) Griffey, 82, of Kingsland, Ga., died Friday, March 3, 2006, at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., following injuries resulting from an auto accident. She was born of the late Luther and Bertha May Davis in Bernie. She had been a resident of Kingsland, Ga., for the last 10 years after retiring from the Jefferson County Colorado Assessors office.

She was preceded in death by Warren H. Griffey, her husband of 30 years. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Judi (Griffey) Williams and her husband Gary of Olathe, Kan., Harold Griffey and his wife Lynne of Carlsbad, N.M., Richard Griffey and his wife Tammy of Woodbine, Ga. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Melissa (Griffey) O'Neil and her husband Matt, Brett Williams, Trish (Williams) Kirkbride and her husband Mark, Kevin Griffey and his wife Leanne, and Brianna Griffey. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Seth Willams and Clara Griffey.
