Charlie Garner, 92, of Advance was born Jan. 23, 1914, at Hiram, the son of the late Bob and Roselyn McCollough, and died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was a retired farmer and also had been a mechanic at Mirly's Implement Co. in Advance.

On April 14, 1942, Charlie and Ruth Donley were united in marriage at Greenbrier, and she survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Robert L. Garner and Wayne Garner, both of Advance; a daughter, Maxine DeBrock of Advance; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with Rev. Brad Moore officiating.

Interment followed in Morgan Memorial Park.
