Mr. Hendrix had lived in Alton, Ill., for several years and returned to Puxico in 1967. He owned and operated Neal's Garage and was a transmission specialist. He was an avid fan of all car racing.
On July 12, 1962, he was married to Helen Allsman in Alton, Ill.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Hendrix of Puxico; three sons, Lloyd Ray Hendrix of Bethalto, Ill., Tom Hendrix of Puxico, Bill Hendrix of Columbia; one daughter, Wanda Marie Rains of Bethalto, Ill.; three grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Hendrix and Charles Hendrix of Puxico, Donald Hendrix of Huntington, Tenn., and Allen Hendrix of Ida, Ark.; and one sister, June Waggoner of Alton, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Glendon Hendrix.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico officiating and assisted by Rev. Johnny Buttry.
Interment will be in Brown Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
