Duel V. Davis

Duel V. Davis, was born Feb. 22, 1916, at Hardin County, Tenn., and died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Puxico Nursing Center. He had been a resident of Dudley and had lived in this area since 1951.

He was a member of the Mingo Saddle Club and had been a farmer and sawmill operator.

On Jan. 1, 1938, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Lucille Rainey in Savannah, Tenn. She preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2004.

Survivors include one son, John R. Davis of Dudley; one daughter, Janis E. Eubanks of Dudley; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isom Duncan Davis and Ida L. Walker Davis; one daughter, Dorothy Kay Davis; six brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating.

Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
