Mr. Yeakey was an inspector for Chrysler Corporation, a resident of Taylor, Mich., formerly of Aid.
He was first united in marriage to Ava Martha May Blassingame. She preceded him in death. He then married Gertrude Ella Miller. She also preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray Yeakey of Dalton, Ga., and William Dale Yeakey of River Rough, Mich.; one step-daughter, Wanda Kirchoff of Romulus, Mich.; two brothers, Harry Yeakey of O'Fallon and Larry Yeakey of Bloomfield; two sisters, Patty Christian of Dexter and Karen Miller of Jackson, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Kirchoff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
