Celia Ross, 75, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Jan. 28, 1931, in Eddyville, Ky., daughter of the late Joe E. Robertson and Tyline Tucker. She was a teacher in the D.A.E.O.C. Headstart Program for over 20 years and a member of the Temple of Faith General Baptist Church.

She was married to James E. Ross who preceded her in death in September 1969.

Survivors include one son Jim L. "Rosco" Ross of Essex; one daughter, Sarah Ruby of Sikeston; one brother, Bob Robertson of Boaz, Ky.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Darnell.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2006, with Rev. Loy Miller, pastor of Temple of Faith General Baptist Church, and Rev. Mitch Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
