Ron England, the son of the late Lester Cleo and Juanita Harris England Welty, was born in Dexter on Feb. 4, 1952, and died at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Monday, April 10, 2006, at the age of 54.
He had lived in Dexter all his life. He had worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.
Surviving are one son, Christopher Crocker of Smyrna, Tenn.; two daughters, Jennifer England of Poplar Bluff and Roni Leigh England of Bloomfield; three grandchildren; two sisters: Rhonda Martinek of Dexter, Vicky Working of Norfolk, Va.; and five brothers, Garry England of Dexter, Jerry England of Hermitage, Tenn., Gordon Spurgeon of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Eddie England of Bolivar, Rick Bone of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by one brother: Allan Cleo England on Nov. 18, 2004, and one sister, Mary England.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2006, at 3 p.m. at the Central Pavilion in the West City Park in Dexter with Pastor Shane Mallard of Dexter officiating.
