Leon "Lee" Sanford, the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Eva Hearn Sanford, was born in Kennett on Jan. 4, 1913, and died at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau on Friday, April 21, 2006, at the age of 93.

She had resided in St. Louis for many years where she worked for Libson's Specialty Shop. She moved to Cape Girardeau a few months ago and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Inez Sanford and Daphna Bruening.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Rev. John Adams of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
