Dale Kester, son of Jessie Lee Kester of Bernie and the late Arthur Kester, was born on March 22, 1949, at Poplar Bluff and died in his residence at Bernie on Monday, April 24, 2006, at the age of 57.

Mr. Kester was a set-up operator for ArvinMeritor in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War and a resident of Bernie.

He was united in marriage to Anita Willeford on March 24, 1973, at Fisk. Mrs. Kester survives of the home in Bernie.

Besides his wife and mother, survivors include one daughter, Amber Sage of Campbell; one brother, John Kester of Bernie; and three sisters, Maria Teets of Bernie, Judy Reed and Donna Robinson, both of Dexter.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Scott and Rev. Virgil Pulliam officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
