Roger was a former employee of Consolidated Freight as a truck driver, veteran of the United States Army, and an avid fisherman; he also enjoyed family, friends and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Jason L. McCollum of Puxico and Roger McCollum, Jr. of Piggott, Ark.; three daughters, Lisa McCollum of Puxico, Louesa McCollum of Wappapello, and Ashley McCollum of Piggott, Ark.; three brothers, Neal Cornman, Timmy Cornman, and Eugene Cornman, all of Campbell; six sisters, Freda Williams, Cheryl Winn, Connie Moffitt, and Tanoca Thacker, all of Campbell, Imy Beck of Ward, Ark., and Kay Melendez of Poplar Bluff; and by one grandchild, Dalton Andrews of Puxico.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie McCollum, Mark McCollum and Michael McCollum; also by two sisters, Ricki Payer and Robin Cornman.
Mr. McCollum was cremated at his request; therefore, no services will be held.
Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
