Freddie Gene Akridge, III, son of Freddie Gene Akridge, II, and Rebecca Sue Mead, was born on Dec. 24, 2002, at Poplar Bluff and died at his residence in Parma on Monday, May 1, 2006, at the age of 3.

Survivors include his parents, Freddie Akridge and Rebecca Mead, both of Parma; one brother, Christopher Jay Lawson of the home in Parma; his paternal grandparents, Peggy and Larry Murphy of New Madrid and Freddie Akridge, Sr. of Catron; his maternal grandparents, Bobbie Nell Mead of Bernie and Richard Lewis Mead, Sr.; great-grandparents, Hershel Akridge of Catron and Lucille Mead of Arizona.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Stan Dauck officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
