On Feb. 22, 1941, she was married to Dan W. Carter, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1968.
Survivors include three sons, Danny (Eva) Carter of Cape Girardeau, Terry and special friend Shelia Bequette of Collinsville, Ill., Dennis and special friend Dolores Gladwell of Fenton; two daughters, Marilyn (Kenneth) Ritch and Carolyn Carter of Fenton; one brother, Gene (Mamie) Perry of Bloomfield; two sisters, Imogene (Jim) Laughlin of St. Louis and Judy (Sam) Giambelluca of Poplar Bluff; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard; three grandsons, Terry, Jr., Ricky and Christopher Carter; two brothers, Dallas and Delbert Perry; and one sister, Beatrice Carter.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Harold Christian officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
