Debra Joyce Rose, the daughter of Brenda Boon, was born in St. Louis on June 8, 1957, and died at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on May 15, 2006, at the age of 48.

She was raised in Puxico, moved to Poplar Bluff before moving to Dexter, where she has lived for many years. She had worked as a dispatcher for B & J Trucking in Kennett and had also prepared taxes.

She was married to Drew Rose in Hannibal.

Surviving are her husband, Drew Rose of Edinboro, Pa.; one son, John Andrew Rose of Wappapello; her mother and step-father, Brenda and Dr. Robert Boon of Dexter; and her grandmother, Marie Smith of Wappapello.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery at a later date with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
