Mildred Gregory, daughter of the late Carl Minehart and Maude Jaynes Minehart was born on June 14, 1932 at Lavalle and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on May 18, 2006 at the age of 73.

Mrs. Gregory was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. She moved to Rockford, Ill., in 1950 and was a Sunday School Teacher for the Assembly of God church in Rockford. Following her husband's retirement, they moved back to Dexter in 1987.

She was united in marriage to Otis Gregory on May 17, 1949 at Pocahontas, Ark., and to this union two sons were born. Mr. Gregory preceded her in death on March 29, 2006.

Survivors include on son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Nancy Gregory of Kennenuick, Washington; three brothers, Cecil Minehart, of Brosely, Leslie Gale Minehart, of Granite City, Ill., and Carl D. Minehart, of Dardanelle, Ark.; by three sisters, Melba Greer, of Granite City, Ill., Margaret Shoumake, of Naylor, and Bethel White, of Salem; by five grandchildren, Chad Gregory, Ryan Gregory, Travis Gregory, Justin Gregory, and Dustin Gregory; by one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Gregory.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Perry Dwain Gregory; by two brothers, Herschel Minehart and Alva Tidwell; by five sisters, Veda Taylor, Thelma Smith, Mary Ross, Bertha Embrey, and Norma Abernathy.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2006. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
