Hazel Hitt

Hazel Bertha Hitt was born at Arbor on Nov. 7, 1916, and died at Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Bloomfield on Friday, May 19, 2006, at the age of 89.

Mrs. Hitt had spent most of her life in the Bloomfield community. She was a retired employee of Elder Manufacturing Company in Bloomfield and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield. She was married to Marvin Hitt, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Hitt of St. Louis, Robert Hitt of Enid, Okla., and Ronald Hitt of Bloomfield; two daughters, Carol Swallows of Edmond, Okla., and Karen Jines of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, James Kidd of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating.

Interment will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.
