G.H. Parsons
G.H. Parsons, son of the late James W. Parsons and Minnie Drewrey Parsons, was born on August 6, 1933 at Delaware, Arkansas and departed this life in the Heartland Residential Care Center at Cape Girardeau on May 25, 2006 at the age of 72.

Mr. Parsons was of the Baptist faith, a retired truck driver for American Bakeries in St. Louis, a member of the Teamsters and a resident of Dexter.

He was first united in marriage to Bonnie Craft on March 3, 1966 at St. Louis and to this union two children were born. He then married Evelyn Rector in April of 1985 at St. Louis. She preceded him in death in March of 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Dudley of Dexter and Regina Holland of Bloomfield. Mr. Parsons is also survived by one brother, Gerald Parsons of Ozark, Arkansas; three sisters, Modene Derrick of Belleville, Arkansas, Lorene Hansel of Ellington, Missouri, and Irene Crader of Leadington, Missouri; five grandchildren, Melissa Johnson of Vancouver, Washington, Lauren Dudley and Jamie Dudley, both of Dexter, Brad Holland and Rebecca Holland both of Bloomfield, and four great grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Parsons and Junior Parsons.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted it 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2006 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home whit Rev. Lex Horner officiating. Interment will follow in the Saddler Chapel Cemetery.
