Billy Lyndel Brinson, son of the late William Brinson and Irene Tucker Brinson, was born on Sept. 12, 1926, in Detroit, Mich., and died at his residence in Dexter on Saturday, June 3, 2006, at the age of 79.

Mr. Brinson owned and operated Van Auto Glass Company in St. Louis for many years, former Master of Itaska Masonic Lodge #420, member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge #532, and a member of the Dexter Presbyterian Church.

He was united in marriage to Helen M. Mekan on Oct. 27, 1945, in Essex. Mrs. Brinson survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, other survivors include two sisters, Jean O'Donnell of Wimberly, Texas, and Virginia Lister of Lohman.

Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Rev. Thomas Bass officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
