Vada M. Bruce, daughter of the late Walter and May Moody Holman, was born at McCalaster, Okla., on Aug. 28, 1915, and died at her home near Bloomfield on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Bruce was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. On Oct. 17, 1935, she was married to Onus Bruce, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1987. She was also preceded in death by three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, John Bruce of Bloomfield, Don Bruce of Sikeston, and Ron Bruce of Bloomfield; two daughters, Jean McClure of Bloomfield and Bonnie Curry of Morehouse; three brothers, James Holman of Bloomfield, and Sidney and Leroy Holman, both of Festus; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. James Vent officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
