Lola B. Hobbs was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Alicia, Ark., and died Saturday, June 17, 2006, in Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
She had lived in Dexter for the past two and one-half years and formerly lived at Dudley for about 30 years.
She attended the Hobbs Chapel Methodist Church. She had been a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, quilting and playing cards.
On April 23, 1971, in Brookland, Ark., she was united in marriage to Forrest H. Hobbs who preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2003. She had formerly married James Hillard Beachum, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1970.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Burleson and Kay Thurston, both of Dexter, Elwonda Lovelace of Elsberry, and Gloria Jean Morris of Advance; one son, John Wayne Wolford of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Gene Rife of St. Cloud, Fla., and Dennison Rife of Manteca, Calif.; and one sister, Shirley Bratton of Manteca, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Monday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with a private graveside service conducted Tuesday. Interment followed at Bernie Cemetery.
