Floyd and Geneva Grim celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a surprise party on June 17, 2006, given by their daughter, Sandra Harty, and granddaughters, Tammy Harris and Dana Tellman, at the Dexter Armory. They were married June 18, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. Those in attendance from Dexter were Chris, Tammy, Nicholas and Gerica Harris; Kathryn Boyt; Reaven McKee; Rudy and Phyllis Stewart; Mearl Allison; Sam Montgomery; James and Pansy Darby; Wilma Morrow; Rev. Lonny and Mrs. Joyce Mittag; Jim, Willa and Marie Fees; Kara and Madison Glaus; Greg and Anna Whiteman; Jo Ellis; Faye Ellis; Tarie Harris; Rick and Loretta Morrow; Robert and Natalie Lizenbee; Sandra Harty. Those attending from out of town were Mike, Dana and Kyle Tellman of Jefferson City; Ted and Betty Lou Harris of Fulton; Geraldine Graham of Cape Girardeau; Steve and Joyce Underwood, Delmar and Jean Underwood, and Elmer Underwood, all of Bloomfield; and Doris and Carla Glass and Sheila Morris, all of Bernie.
The Grims enjoyed a celebration trip earlier in the week to Branson, and while there, Mickey Gilley dedicated a special song to them to commemorate their 60th anniversary. They also received a letter of congratulations on their 60th anniversary from President and Laura Bush.
