Harry O. Hufstedler

Harry O. Hufstedler was born March 31, 1916, in Arkansas and formerly lived in Springfield and died June 23, 2006, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Dexter.

He had retired from Missouri Natural Gas Co. in Poplar Bluf in 1972. He loved music and playing fiddle and liked to travel.

On June 25, 1971, he was united in marriage to Helen Taylor in Poplar Bluff, and she survives of the home.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Weeks of Bolivar and Nancy Peebles of Waynesville; seven step-children, Lois Orr of Norman, Okla., John Tippen of Poplar Bluff, Carol Adams of Dexter, David Tippen of Wappapello, Tom Tippen of Poplar Bluff, Danny Tippen of Dexter, Joyce Huggins of Corning, Ark.; three grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2006, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Funeral services were conducted at 12 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006, at White-Sanders Fuenral Home in Fisk with Rev. Dean Williams and Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.

Interment followed in Shain Memorial Cemetery.
