Jason Stidham, son of Mark Stidham of Dexter and the late Velva Sharlene Murphy Stidham, was born April 14, 1987, at Benton, Ark., and died near Puxico on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at the age of 19.

Jason was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, a 2005 graduate of Dexter Senior High School, was employed in construction and a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mark and Debbie Stidham of Dexter; one brother, Brent Stidham of Dexter; one step-brother, Jim Bob Scherer of Poplar Bluff; his maternal grandparents, Noel "Butch" Murphy and Carolyn Moore Murphy of Bernie; his paternal grandfather, Jimmy Lee Stidham of Cherry Valley, Ark.; his maternal step-grandparents, James G. and Mildred Miller of Dexter.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery,
