Kenneth E. Clark, son of the late Earl Clark and Flava Cornman Clark, was born on Nov. 22, 1930, in Gideon and died at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at the age of 75.
Mr. Clark was a former truck driver for Southeast Co-Op Service, affiliated with the Dudley Community Church, a member of the Clark Family Gospel Singers that traveled and sang in various churches for many years, and a resident of Dexter.
On Jan. 22, 1949, he was united in marriage to Berladean Hughes in Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Clark survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, Berladean Clark of Dexter, other survivors include two sons, Stephen Clark and David Clark, both of Dexter; one daughter, Vickie Seymore of Dexter; one brother, Larry Gene Clark of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Catherine Barber of Dexter and Lola Mae Hileman of Flint, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Troy Clark, Vernon Clark, Ray Clark, Ralph Clark and Leroy Clark.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
