R.P. Davison, son of Dr. Frank Davison and Rose Alice Gaskin Davison, was born March 9, 1917, in Columbus, Ohio, and died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter at the age of 89.

Bro. Davison was united in marriage to Dorothy Carolyn Hart on June 24, 1948, at Lynchburg, Ohio.

He had been a Christian minister with over 60 years of service. He was a former principal, teacher and basketball coach in Ohio. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Davison of Malden; a son, Richard Lee Davison of Sparks, Nev.; three daughters, Jennifer Parks of Manitou Springs, Colo., Alice Miller of Risco, Candi Maddox of Malden; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Randy Moore and Mrs. Lanois Davidson officiating.

Interment will follow at Elder Cemetery in Campbell.

The family requests that memorials be made to the scholarship fund for ministerial school students, c/o Landess Funeral Home, P.O. Box 260, Malden, Mo. 63863.

Dinner will be served at the Stokelan Drive Christian Church after the services.
