Mr. Hewitt was a truck driver, a veteran of the United States Army and a resident of Dexter.
He was united in marriage to Sarah Anne Williams on March 13, 1965, at Sylvania, Ohio. Mrs. Hewitt survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, survivors include three daughters, Ramona Marie Burress of Franklin, Tenn., Melissa Anne McGuire of Dexter and Rhonda Sue Rowles of Altus, Okla.; one brother, James Hewitt of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Helen May of Redford, Mich., and Nancy Turco of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his mom, Isabell Hewitt, who raised him since his age of two; and one brother, Robert Hewitt.
Graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the Missouri Veteran Cemetery at Bloomfield with Bro. Jim Carlton officiating.
