Bessie Aslin, daughter of the late Simon Robert and Elizabeth Musgrove Lawrence, was born at Farmington on Dec. 20, 1920, and died in the Friendship Village Care Center at Chesterfield on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at the age of 85.
On April 4, 1942, she was united in marriage to Eugene Aslin, who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1981. She had lived for several years in rural Bloomfield before moving to Chesterfield to make her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and a Past Matron of Bloomfield Chapter 385, Order of the Eastern Star, and a fifty year member of the Order.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Aslin of Wildwood and Sid Aslin of St. Peters; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006.
An Eastern Star service will be conducted by Bloomfield Chapter 385 at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006, in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
