Jimmie Blake, son of the late William Oscar and Gladys Bales Blake, was born at Doniphan on Aug. 8, 1937, and died at his home in Perryville on Saturday, July 29, 2006.
Mr. Blake was a former resident of Bloomfield, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and owned and operated Blake's Locksmith and Pawn Shop in Bloomfield for 20 years until ill health forced his retirement.
On July 20, 1963, he was married to Barbara Burgess.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home in Perryville; one son, William R. Blake of Perryville; one daughter, Jamie Evans of Perryville; two sisters, Joy Hall of Sunland, Calif., and Ruby Critzas of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2006, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Graveside rites were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Harper Cemetery at Aid. Interment followed in the Harper Cemetery.
Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
