Betty Lou Jones, daughter of the late Walter M. Creg and Ethel Bell Jerls Creg was born on Dec. 8, 1926, in Stoddard County and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center at Dexter on Aug. 3, 2006.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, a former seamstress with Elder Manufacturing Company and a resident of rural Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Graham W. Jones on April 19, 1947, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1981.

Survivors include two brothers, Harold "Bud" Creg and Wayne Creg, both of Dexter; and one sister, Ruby Crow of Dexter.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Creg and Dawsey Denzil Creg.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City with Father David Dohogne officiating.
