Thelma Dockins

Thelma Dockins, daughter of the late Robert Mattics and Clara Ham Mattics, was born July 15, 1911, at Senath and died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at Gideon Care Center.

She was united in marriage to Baun Dockins on Feb. 8, 1935, at Caruthersville, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1975.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gideon.

Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Dockins of Kennett, Terry Dockins of Gideon, Jerry Dockins of Bloomfield, and Donnie Dockins of Poplar Bluff; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Wilma Sue Davis; four sisters, Opal Palmer, Grace Ward, Mable Houston and Nellie Stroup; two brothers, Alford Mattics and Ronie Mattics.

Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
