Leon Cobb, son of the late Clarence Cobb and Nancy Elizabeth Lyons Cobb, was born on May 29, 1948, at Success, Ark., and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at the age of 58.

He was united in marriage to Paulette Orr on June 11, 1967, at New Madrid. She survives her husband at the home in Bernie.

Mr. Cobb had worked for Bernie Farmers Fertilizer.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Cobb of Bernie; by three sons, Jeffery Leon Cobb of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Anthony Eugene Cobb of Bernie, and Justin Dewayne Cobb of Dexter; one daughter, Paula Vaughn of Gray Ridge; four brothers, Bobby Joe Cobb, Jerry Cobb, Gene Cobb, and Willie Cobb, all of Bernie; three sisters, Wretha Minton of Bernie, Vernell Ross of Malden, and Bonnie Fouse of Hoppeston, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Following the visitation at his request, Mr. Cobb will be cremated.
