Dal Daniel, the son of the late Perry Delmar and Bessie Lee Hendricks Daniel, was born in Murray, Ky., on Nov. 29, 1913, and died at the New Madrid Nursing Center on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at the age of 92.
He had lived in Dexter since 1925 and was a retired heating, air and sheet metal worker. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Dexter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Engineers and served during World War II.
On May 12, 1939, he was married to Willena Sielert in Charleston. She preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 2003.
Surviving are one son, Don V. Daniel of Essex; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Perry T. Daniel of Conway, Ark.; and two sisters, Inez Holder and Pat Watkins, both of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by one son, L.J. Daniel; three brothers, Burie, Earl and Bradley Daniel; and three sisters, Delmar Melton, Rubye Daniel and Lucille Biggerstaff.
Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Vaughn Wright of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund of Dexter.
