He had lived in West Plains for 25 years, spent 12 years in Mt. View, Ark., and moved to Dexter four months ago. He was a retired foreman for the Cloud 9 Ranch near Caulfield and was a member of the Pentecost Church.
On July 30, 1953, he was married to Lillie Dell Rinehart in Wardell.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie Dell Denny of Dexter; one son, Allen Denny of West Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Cathy Bell and Anna Michel, both of West Plains; two sisters, Eunice Fields of Festus and Reba Sims of Ash Flat, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and D.C. Denny.
Visitation was held after 12 noon on Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Darrell Gosser of Calico Rock, Ark., officiating.
Interment followed in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
