Ruby Ellen Garland, daughter of Clarence Hubert King and Ora Nora Wilson King, was born Jan. 12, 1939, at Minnum and died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare in Malden.

On Feb. 19, 1957, she was united in marriage to Delbert Garland in New Madrid County.

She had been in housekeeping for Tri-County and was a member of New Life Ministries of New Madrid.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert Garland of Malden; her mother, Ora King of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Norma Decker of Malden, Lorna Snider of Doe Run, Carrol Christon of Washington, and Debra King of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Luke King of Olympia and Clarence King, Jr. of Cool Valley; one brother-in-law, Lloyd McCain of Bernie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; two sisters; and one brother.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Rev Scott Sutton officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
