Nellie Bernece "Dude" Eaves, 80, of Sikeston, died at 9:23 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at her residence. She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to the late Fred and Ella Llary McAnelly. She was a homemaker and a member of Garden Ridge General Baptist Church of Bell City.

On Nov. 22, 1941, in Benton she was married to William Paul Eaves who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 2006.

Surviving are one daughter, Pauline Uelsmann of Scott City; one brother, Paul McAnelly of East Prairie; two sisters, Geneva Statler of Bloomfield and Pauline Gadey of Dexter; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rosie Morse.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Bill Fox, pastor of Garden Ridge General Baptist Church of Bell City, officating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
