Jack Daniel, "J.D." Tucker, 83, of Bloomfield, died Aug. 30, 2006, in the St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Tucker was born Sept. 24, 1922, in Burk Burnett, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was a farmer, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
On May 23, 1947, he married B. Jane Keith in Bloomfield. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Larry Tucker of Benton and Gary Tucker of Puxico; three brothers, R.C. Tucker of Dexter, Alvie Tucker of Alton, Ill., and Wayne Tucker of Jonesboro, Ark.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
His parents Wilburn Tucker and Esta Lee preceded him in death.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bloomfield City Cemetery with Elder Carl Warren of Kennett officiating and Elder Ron Stocker assisting.
Morgan Sifford Funeral Home of Puxico is in charge of local arrangements.
