She had lived in Puxico before moving to St. Louis 46 years ago. She enjoyed gardening and being around her children and grandchildren.
In September 1956 she was married to James Buttry in Mississippi.
Surviving are her husband J.D. Buttry of St. Louis; two sons, Carl Atchison and James Buttry, both of St. Louis; two daughters, Wilena Wiggains of High Ridge and Beverly White of St. Louis; five grandsons; four great-grandsons; four granddaughters; and 10 great-granddaughters; one brother, Charles Jasper Burns of Puxico.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnnie, Ray and Roy Atchison; and one sister, Omega Wilfong.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. John Buttry of Puxico officiating.
Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico is in charge of all arrangements.
