Donald Ottinger, Sr., 46, of Sikeston, died Sept. 11, 2006, at 4 a.m. at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born on March 2, 1960, in Sikeston to Betty Flanagan Ottinger of Bell City and the late James D. Ottinger. He was a farmer for the Parker Brothers Farms and a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church. He married Kathy Dozier on Oct. 5, 1982, in Sikeston, and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2004.

Besides his mother, he is survived by three sons, Donald Lee Ottinger, Jr., James Michael "Mikey" Ottinger and Benjamin "Caleb" Ottinger, all of Sikeston; one brother, David Ottinger of Sikeston; and one sister, Marla Sprouse of Steele; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by one grandson; and one brother, James Michael Ottinger.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
