Mrs. Lewis had spent most of her life in the Oak Ridge community but had been a resident of Dexter the past 15 years.
On Dec. 6, 1948, she was married to Charley Lewis, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1968. A son, Herbert Harris, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Burns of Dexter; two sisters, Thelma Gullett of St. Louis and Alma Hopkins of Olive Branch, Ill.; one granddaughter, Deborah Wilson of Kingsland, Ga.; three grandsons, Michael Harris, Roy D. Burns and Troy L. Burns, all of Dexter.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield.
