Sadie Viola Myers Hinkle, 84, of Marble Hill, was born Oct. 31, 1921, at Zalma, the daughter of the late Jess and Minnie Irvin Myers, and died Sept. 17, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Sadie was a homemaker. She retired from being a cook and teacher's aide in Zalma School system. She was General Baptist.

Sadie and Glen Hinkle were united in marriage on Jan. 21, 1942, at Marble Hill, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Sharon Kay Hinkle of Alton, Ill., Mary Louella Summers of Farmington, and Diana Sue Hinkle of Alton, Ill.; three brothers, Lorance Myers of Puxico, Lowell Myers of Advance, and Clarence Myers of Gipsy; two sisters, Marie Lacy of Arab and Beulah Stilts of Gipsy; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from noon - 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with Rev. LeeRoy Hefner officiating.

Interment will follow in Berrong Cemetery in Gipsy.
